Privacy Policy (Mimic X)
Last updated: May 23, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how the “Mimic X” application (the “App”), developed by Kunihiko Ohnaka (the “Developer”), handles user information.
1. Information We Collect
The App does not collect any personal information from users.
Specifically, the App does NOT collect, transmit, or store any of the following:
- Personally identifiable information such as name, email address, or phone number
- Location data
- Device data such as contacts, photos, or calendar
- Advertising identifiers (IDFA / AAID) or tracking identifiers
- Usage data, operation logs, or crash reports
2. Data Stored Locally on Your Device
The App stores only the following settings locally on your device. This data is never transmitted to the Developer’s servers or any third party.
- Joystick controller settings (turbo rate, dead zone, etc.)
- Most recently selected channel and mode
This data is stored in the OS-provided settings storage (e.g. UserDefaults on iOS) and is removed when the App is uninstalled.
3. Network Communication
The App does not communicate with any external server over the internet.
The only communication the App performs is local communication with Mimic X hardware via USB-MIDI. Such communication (button presses, key inputs, etc.) is used solely to control the connected retro PC and is never sent over a network.
4. Third-Party Services
The App does not use any third-party services, including analytics tools, advertising SDKs, or crash reporting tools.
5. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed at any specific age group. Because the App does not collect any personal information, it can be safely used by users of all ages, including children under 13.
6. Changes to This Policy
If we change this Privacy Policy, we will update this page. Significant changes will also be noted in the App’s release notes.
